Our Journey So Far…
A business is only as strong as the community behind it. We truly appreciate all the users who have given us valuable feedback over the past few months. Thank you for your continued patience and support as we continue to refine Advisoray and construct new and useful features. We have learned so much from our diverse user community and we can’t wait to continue our journey with all of you.
Our Destination…
The Advisoray development team is well underway with developing Advisoray 2.0. Our next version includes an easy way for users to access our Advisor network to find a service they need. Above that, Advisoray is building an interactive module that educates users on how to best leverage available resources to accomplish their initiative. We can’t wait to show you guys what we’ve been working on! YAY!

Researchers in Switzerland want €1 billion (£780 million) to build a Living Earth Simulator, which can analyse complex systems on a planetary-scale, and perhaps even predict the future.
It’s called FuturICT, and it’s one of six projects in the running to score a massive grant from the European Commission’s Future and Emerging Technology Flagship program.
The simulator would chew on data about things like the weather, financial systems, animal migration patterns and power grids. Then, by using models, the Earth simulator could find out how these systems work and interact with each other.
That information could even point towards events in the future. In the project’s pitch, researchers say it could “provide a basis for predicting natural disasters, or managing and responding to man-made disasters that cross national borders or even continents.” It could also help society “discover a more sustainable way of living”.
The project would take about ten years to build, and require a huge amount of data from experts in many different fields. There are also plans to crowdsource data from sensors, smartphones and other devices.
“Revealing the hidden laws and processes underlying societies probably constitutes the most pressing scientific grand challenge of our century,” a spokesperson for FuturICT said. If the team wins the cash, it expects to open initial simulations and data repositories in 2015.

1. Advisoray: What brought you to work in the start-up space?
I am a serial entrepreneur, this is my nature. I strive in a start-up environment and understand the start-up mindset. I think it is amazing to build a company/project from the ground up. In a start-up environment it is all about the team and the energy of the people involved. That and a great idea are bound to bring success.
Given my passion for the start-up environment, I am currently working at a Visual Branding Agency that has an enormous expertise in brand creation and brand management. This enables our team to support our clients from day 1 in all aspects of their business development.
Given my background in building Health IT related training programs and working hands-on in the healthcare field, I think we can be an invaluable asset to any Health IT related start-up.

1. Advisoray: What brought you to work in the start-up space?
I worked in IT for years at Credit Suisse, then worked with a smaller tech firm, Arc90 and got introduced to the startup space that way. I love working with start-ups as they are incredibly passionate about the work they are doing.
